I wanted to become a teacher because I love to have a strong influence on other people's life. I feel that being a teacher would be just that, a strong influence and life changing. I also love history and how fun it could be so teaching it would be fun, and I also had a horrible high school history teacher so I feel that students deserve better than what I got. I plan on finishing my schooling and hope to get a job teaching in a rural community because I love small towns and knowing everyone around you.
I am Wyatt Kimball, and I am preparing to become a secondary education history teacher. I am looking forward to when I can start my career, and take flight on this awesome journey. As I have learned about becoming a teacher, I have developed my own philosophy that I feel is most important for me to succeed. I believe that building relationships of trust in the classroom will help a class go far, and help students feel like they can rely on you. If there is trust then students will not be afraid to ask about school, assignments, and so on. I also believe that teaching shouldn't be all about lecture. Classroom time should be split up into different segments to keep students focused. There should be lecture, activity, discussions, and so on. I know that I have to get to to know students and their parents good so I can teach to the best way that individual student will learn. These are just some of my philosophies that will help me in my classroom. Trust leads to respect which will help teacher to student relationship. Well organized classroom will lead to great management. Knowing your students will lead to success with both teacher and student.
